These 20-minute burger bowls deliver all the classic burger flavors in a quick, fresh, and satisfying bowl, perfect for busy weeknights or easy meal prep.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g ground beef
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes (about 400 g), cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 0.5 cup chopped dill pickles
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup burger-style sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C and place a baking sheet inside to heat.
  2. Toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Spread the sweet potatoes evenly on the hot baking sheet.
  4. Roast the sweet potatoes for about 15 minutes until tender and lightly golden.
  5. While the potatoes cook, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef.
  6. Season the beef with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then cook until browned and fully cooked.
  7. Divide the romaine lettuce between serving bowls.
  8. Top the lettuce with roasted sweet potatoes, cooked beef, cherry tomatoes, pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Drizzle burger-style sauce over each bowl and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, season the beef gradually as it cooks.
  • Keep the sauce on the side if preparing bowls ahead of time.
  • Cut sweet potatoes evenly so they roast at the same speed.
