These Apple Pie Biscuits are a warm, comforting treat with all the flavors of apple pie, but in biscuit form! Buttery, cinnamon-coated biscuits are topped with apple pie filling and baked to golden perfection. Finished off with a drizzle of sweet icing, they’re the perfect dessert or breakfast treat.

  • 1 can of buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 can apple pie filling
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Icing: 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Lightly grease a baking pan or skillet.
  2. Mix Sugar and Spices: In a bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Coat the Biscuits: Dip each biscuit into the melted butter, coating all sides, then cover them in the sugar-spice mixture.
  4. Arrange the Biscuits: Arrange the coated biscuits in the prepared pan.
  5. Prepare the Apple Pie Filling: Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces, then mix it with the vanilla extract.
  6. Top the Biscuits: Arrange the apple pie filling over the biscuits, sprinkle with the remaining sugar-spice mixture, and drizzle with the remaining melted butter.
  7. Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and the apples are bubbly.
  8. Make the Icing: In a small bowl, whisk together the confectioners’ sugar and milk to make the icing.
  9. Finish the Biscuits: Drizzle the icing over the baked biscuits and serve warm.

  • You can use homemade apple pie filling if you prefer.
