  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
  6. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies evenly apart.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool briefly on the baking sheet before serving.
