- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies evenly apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
- Allow cookies to cool briefly on the baking sheet before serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
- Do not overmix the dough to keep cookies soft.
