Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 large russet potatoes, cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top.
- In a bowl, toss chicken wings with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Soak potato strips in water for 30 minutes. Drain, pat dry, and toss with cornstarch, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange wings on the wire rack and spread fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake wings for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway. Bake fries for 25-30 minutes, flipping once.
- Warm the BBQ sauce and toss with cooked wings. Optional: broil for 2-3 minutes for extra stickiness.
- Sprinkle fries with extra salt or chili flakes if desired. Let wings rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve wings and fries hot with extra sauce or your favorite dip.
Notes
- Soaking the fries helps remove starch for extra crispiness.
- Use a wire rack to allow hot air to circulate and crisp up the wings evenly.
- Warm BBQ sauce clings better to the wings than cold sauce.
