This delicious Berry Chocolate Cake features a rich chocolate pound cake base with a creamy, tangy berry cream cheese swirl. It’s a perfect blend of flavors and textures, making it a great treat for any occasion.

  • For the Berry Cream Cheese Mixture:
    • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 1 packet Berry Blast™ Cheese Ball Mix
  • For the Cake Batter:
    • 1 package Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix
    • ¾ cup water
    • ¾ cup butter, melted and cooled
    • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  • Prepare Berry Cream Cheese Mixture:
    • In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and Berry Blast Cheese Ball Mix.
    • Mix vigorously until well combined. Set aside.
  • Prepare Cake Batter:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • In a medium bowl, combine the Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix, water, melted and cooled butter, and beaten egg.
    • Mix until just combined, about 20-30 seconds.
  • Assemble the Cake:
    • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
    • Pour half of the chocolate cake batter into the prepared pan.
    • Dollop half of the berry cream cheese mixture over the batter.
    • Spread the remaining cake batter over the berry cream cheese.
    • Top with dollops of the remaining berry cream cheese.
  • Bake the Cake:
    • Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake (not the cream cheese) comes out clean.
    • Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
  • Serve:
    • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Ensure the cake is completely cooled before slicing to prevent the cream cheese swirl from running.
  • For added berry flavor, you can fold fresh berries into the cream cheese mixture or sprinkle some on top before baking.
