Ingredients
- Whole Camembert wheel: 250 grams
- Garlic cloves: 3 to 4, sliced in halves or left whole with skin
- Fresh rosemary sprigs: A few small ones
- Crushed red pepper flakes: About ½ teaspoon
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Sea salt: A pinch
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Remove any plastic packaging from the cheese, but keep it in its wooden box if possible. Place the box on a baking tray.
- Combine Ingredients: Lightly score the top of the Camembert. Press garlic halves and rosemary sprigs into the top, sprinkle with red pepper flakes and sea salt, then drizzle with olive oil.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: If not using the wooden box, place the cheese into a snug oven-safe ramekin or baking dish.
- Assemble the Dish: Make sure toppings are evenly distributed on top of the cheese.
- Cook to Perfection: Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until gooey and golden. Cover with foil if browning too fast.
- Finishing Touches: Let it rest for 3 to 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm with bread, crackers, or fruit slices.
Notes
- Use truffle oil instead of olive oil for a luxurious twist.
- Add honey or fig jam for a sweet-savory balance.
- Serve directly in the wooden box for rustic charm.
