This homemade Caramel Apple Fudge swaps instant cider mix for real apple puree, creating a fresher, fruitier apple flavor! Swirled with silky caramel, this creamy fudge is perfect for fall treats, gifting, or satisfying your autumn sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup apple puree (homemade or store-bought, unsweetened)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup soft caramel candies (about 15 caramels), unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, stir together the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in the apple puree, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using) until fully combined.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the caramel candies and heavy cream together in 20-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth out the top.
  6. Drizzle the melted caramel over the fudge and use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl it through.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully firm.
  8. Lift the fudge out using the parchment paper, slice into small squares, and enjoy.

Notes

  • To make homemade apple puree, peel, core, and cook one apple until soft, then blend into a smooth puree. Cool before using.
  • Keep the fudge stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • For an extra punch of apple flavor, reduce 2/3 cup fresh apple cider down to 1/3 cup syrup and use that instead of puree.
