Ingredients

  • Pizza sauce, ¾ cup
  • Low moisture mozzarella cheese, 2 cups shredded
  • Pepperoni slices, 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F and place the cast iron skillet inside to heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy, then stir in flour, salt, and olive oil until a soft dough forms.
  3. Carefully remove the hot skillet and lightly coat it with olive oil.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the skillet, pushing slightly up the sides.
  5. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, sprinkle evenly with mozzarella, then add pepperoni on top.
  6. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve directly from the skillet.
