  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 (1-inch) slices sharp cheddar cheese

  2. Set Up Dredging Station:

    • In three shallow bowls, prepare:
      • Flour in the first bowl.
      • Beaten egg + 1 tbsp water in the second bowl.
      • Remaining panko in the third bowl.
  3. Form the Patties:

    • Heat peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook patties in batches, browning 1 minute per side.
    • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  6. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Let cool slightly and serve on buns, lettuce wraps, or with a side of veggies.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add herbs such as parsley or thyme to the chicken mixture.
  • These patties can be frozen before frying, making them great for meal prep.

  • You can substitute the peanut oil with vegetable or canola oil if needed.
