Cheese Waffles

Crispy golden savory waffles packed with melted cheddar cheese and herbs. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a comforting snack.

  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle maker until fully hot.
  2. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another bowl mix eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix.
  5. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped parsley.
  6. Lightly grease the waffle maker.
  7. Add batter and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp.
  8. Remove from the waffle maker and let rest briefly before serving.

Notes

  • Freshly shredded cheese melts better than packaged shredded cheese.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep waffles fluffy.
  • Cooked waffles can be reheated in a toaster to restore crisp texture.
