Cheesecake Cream Puffs

Cheesecake Cream Puffs

These Cheesecake Cream Puffs combine crispy, golden pastry with a smooth and rich cheesecake filling. They’re perfect for any occasion, from family gatherings to special celebrations.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12

Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour: 1 cup
  • Butter: 1/2 cup
  • Water: 1 cup
  • Eggs: 4 large
  • Cream Cheese: 8 oz
  • Powdered Sugar: 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Heavy Cream: 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter in water. Once melted, bring the mixture to a boil. Add the flour all at once and stir vigorously until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Once the dough has cooled slightly, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Spoon the dough onto the baking sheet and bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  4. Assemble the Dish: While the puffs are cooling, make the cheesecake filling by whipping the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Once the puffs have cooled, slice them in half and fill them with the cheesecake filling.
  6. Finishing Touches: For extra flavor, sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top before serving.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve these cheesecake cream puffs immediately for the best texture, or store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days.

Notes

  • Use room temperature ingredients for the filling to help them blend together more smoothly.
  • Don’t open the oven door while the puffs are baking; this can cause them to collapse.
  • Let the puffs cool completely before filling to prevent the cream filling from melting.
