Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tubes refrigerated crescent roll sheets
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 3 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chives, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Prepare Dough: Roll out each tube of dough into a 12×16 inch rectangle.
  • Prepare Garlic Butter: In a bowl, combine butter, chives, and minced garlic. Spread ⅓ of this mixture over one dough sheet. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  • Roll and Slice: Roll up the dough into a log, then cut it in half. Slice each half lengthwise into 2 sections. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
  • Place in Muffin Tin: Place the dough sections in the muffin tin, with the layered side facing outward.
  • Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Make Garlic Butter Topping: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, chives, and salt.
  • Brush Topping: Once the cruffins are baked, brush the garlic butter mixture over the warm cruffins.

Notes

  • These cruffins are best served warm and fresh from the oven, perfect for brunch or as an appetizer.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and chives to suit your personal taste.
