Instructions

  • Cream Butter and Sugar:
    In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and packed brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add Wet Ingredients:
    Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
    Gradually mix in the baking soda, salt, baking powder, and flour until just combined. Stir in the oatmeal until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  • Shape the Cookies:
    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake:
    Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
