This creamy and savory cheese dip is elevated with a flavorful bruschetta topping made from marinated tomatoes, fresh basil, and a hint of balsamic vinegar. Perfect for parties, gatherings, or as an elegant appetizer, it pairs wonderfully with crackers, pita chips, or toasted bread.

For the Bruschetta Topping:

  • 4 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • ¼ cup chopped basil leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 12 tsp balsamic vinegar (adjust to taste)
  • Salt, to taste

For the Cheese Base:

  • 8 oz feta cheese block, crumbled
  • 4 oz cream cheese (½ block)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste

For Garnish:

  • Extra chopped basil leaves
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

 Make the Bruschetta Topping:

  1. Dice the Roma tomatoes and place them in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Add chopped basil, minced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt. Stir to combine and let marinate for 10–15 minutes.

2. Prepare the Cheese Base:

  1. In a food processor, combine feta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

3. Assemble the Dip:

  1. Spread the cheese mixture evenly onto a serving plate or shallow dish.
  2. Spoon the marinated bruschetta mixture on top of the cheese layer.

4. Garnish and Serve:

  1. Sprinkle with extra chopped basil, red pepper flakes, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  2. Serve immediately with crackers, pita chips, or toasted bread.

Notes

  • Adjust the salt and balsamic vinegar to your taste preferences.
  • For a slightly tangier flavor, add an extra splash of lemon juice to the cheese base.
