Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets, skinless and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat or preheat an air fryer to 400°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet and heat until shimmering, or lightly oil the air fryer basket.
  4. Toss the salmon cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Cook the salmon in a single layer, turning gently, until golden and crispy on all sides, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey.
  7. Toss the cooked salmon lightly in the sauce and finish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sriracha to control spice level.
  • Cook salmon in batches to keep it crispy.
  • Toss in sauce just before serving for best texture.
