Ingredients

- 2 crumpets per serving
- 4 slices cooked sausage
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- Optional: hot sauce or mustard
Instructions
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat
- Cook sausage if not pre-cooked until browned and heated through
- Add butter to skillet and toast crumpets cut-side down for 2-3 minutes
- Flip crumpets, top with sausage slices and shredded cheese
- Cover pan and cook 2-3 minutes until cheese melts
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper, add optional hot sauce or mustard
- Serve immediately while cheese is gooey
