- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- ¾ cup cooked ground beef or ground turkey, cooled
- 2 cups crushed Doritos, divided
- 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, taco seasoning, green onions, and cooked ground meat. Stir in 1 cup of crushed Doritos.
- Prepare your baking sheet with parchment and a light spray of non-stick oil if desired.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized portions and roll each ball in the remaining crushed Doritos to coat.
- Place the balls on the baking sheet, top with a pinch of shredded cheese, and bake for 10–12 minutes.
- Sprinkle with green onions or jalapeños, and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- Chill the mixture before rolling to make shaping easier.
- Swap meat for beans or lentils to make it vegetarian.
- Use different Dorito flavors for a fun twist.
- Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat at 350°F.
