Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 cucumbers, sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Instructions

  • Prepare the Vegetables:
Slice the cucumbers and onions. Dice the tomatoes and place them all into a large bowl.

  • Make the Dressing:
In a separate bowl, mix together the vinegar, cracked pepper, sugar, salt, water, and olive oil. Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved.

  • Combine:
Pour the dressing over the sliced vegetables. Toss everything together to ensure the vegetables are well-coated.

  • Chill:
Cover the salad and refrigerate it for 24 hours to allow the flavors to develop.

  • Serve & Enjoy:
After chilling, give it one more toss before serving. Enjoy the refreshing, tangy, and flavorful salad!

Notes

  • This salad is best when chilled for at least 24 hours to let the flavors meld. If you don’t have time, you can still enjoy it immediately, but the flavor will be less developed.
  • You can add some fresh herbs like parsley or dill for an extra burst of flavor.
  • If you prefer a milder onion taste, soak the onion slices in cold water for about 10 minutes before adding them to the salad.
