1. Prepare the Dough:
- In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 1 hour.
2. Cook the Filling:
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the pizza sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.
3. Assemble the Pizza Pie:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough into a large circle and press it into a greased deep baking dish or springform pan. Trim any excess dough.
- Layer shredded mozzarella cheese on the crust base. Add the meat filling, mushrooms, and bell peppers. Repeat layers of cheese and fillings as desired.
- Top with extra mozzarella and garnish with pepperoni slices or additional vegetables.

- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
