Ingredients
Scale
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
½ lb smoked sausage, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Cook the Sausage – In a large skillet over medium heat, add sliced sausage. Cook for 4-5 minutes until browned and crispy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Shrimp – In the same skillet, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Cook the Cabbage – Add chopped cabbage to the skillet. Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender but slightly crisp.
Combine and Serve – Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet with cabbage. Toss everything together and cook for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Garnish – Top with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
You can substitute the sausage for chicken or turkey sausage if preferred.
For added flavor, squeeze a little lemon juice over the dish before serving.
