Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground chicken or beef
  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 2 tablespoons green onions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steamer and bring water to a simmer.
  2. Mix ground meat, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Line the steamer with parchment paper.
  4. Place filling into wrappers and shape dumplings.
  5. Steam for 12 to 15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Let rest briefly before serving.
  7. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Do not overfill the wrappers
  • Keep wrappers covered to prevent drying
  • Freeze uncooked dumplings for later use
