Protein & Dairy: 8 large eggs, 2 cups milk, 2 lbs ground breakfast sausage, 16 oz cream cheese (softened), 2 cups shredded cheese. Hashbrowns: 32 oz frozen shredded hash brown potatoes. Seasonings: ¼ tsp garlic powder, ¼ tsp onion powder, salt and pepper to taste.
Prepare the Dish: Spray a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick spray.
Crush Graham Crackers: Place 2 whole graham cracker sheets in a Ziploc bag and crush them into fine crumbs using a meat mallet or the bottom of a glass. Set aside for garnish.
Make Peanut Butter Filling: In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, stirring until combined.
Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips and shortening in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. Do not overheat.
Assemble Layers:
Lay 6 whole graham cracker sheets on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Pour ⅓ of the melted chocolate over the graham crackers, spreading evenly.
Flatten the peanut butter mixture with your hands and layer it on top of the chocolate, covering the surface.
Pour another ⅓ of the chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
Add another layer of 6 whole graham crackers.
Pour the remaining chocolate over the top and spread evenly.
Garnish & Chill: Sprinkle crushed graham crackers over the top. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.
Cut & Serve: Slice into squares and enjoy!
For a firmer texture, refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
