Ingredients
- Egg roll wrappers, 12 wrappers cut into quarters
- Ground beef, 1 pound
- Shredded cheese, 2 cups
- Red bell pepper, 1 medium finely diced
- Green bell pepper, 1 medium finely diced
- Green onions, 3 stalks sliced
- Soy sauce, 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
- Cut egg roll wrappers into quarters and fry in batches until golden and crisp, then drain on paper towels.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Add soy sauce, garlic powder, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper to the beef and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Arrange crispy wrapper pieces on a large platter.
- Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the wrappers.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top.
- Allow the heat to melt the cheese, or place briefly under a broiler if needed.
- Finish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
