These Fizzy Kool-Aid Lollipops are an exciting, fizzy treat made with Kool-Aid and a touch of baking soda. A fun and easy way to enjoy a homemade candy with a burst of flavor and sparkle! Perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup light corn syrup (or honey for a natural alternative)
• 1/4 cup water
• 1 packet unsweetened Kool-Aid (any flavor)
• 1/4 tsp baking soda (for the fizz)
• Lollipop sticks
• Candy molds or parchment paper

Tip: Use different Kool-Aid flavors to create a variety of colorful and flavorful lollipops. You can find lollipop sticks and molds at craft stores or online!

Instructions

  • Prepare the Candy Mixture:
    • In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
    • Once the mixture starts boiling, stop stirring and let it reach 300°F (hard crack stage) on a candy thermometer. This will take about 10-15 minutes.
  • Add Flavor & Fizz:
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and carefully stir in the Kool-Aid packet and baking soda. The mixture will bubble up, so be cautious.
  • Pour into Molds:
    • Quickly pour the hot candy mixture into lollipop molds or drop small circles onto parchment paper.
    • Insert lollipop sticks into each mold or circle, twisting them slightly to coat the sticks with candy.
  • Let Cool & Harden:
    • Allow the lollipops to cool completely at room temperature. As they harden, the baking soda will create a subtle fizzy texture.
  • Unwrap & Enjoy:
    • Once fully hardened, pop the lollipops out of the molds or peel them off the parchment paper. Wrap them in cellophane or enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • For best results, freeze the pie for at least 4-6 hours to allow the filling to firm up completely.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the freezer for up to a week.
  • You can customize the filling by adding more cherries or chocolate chips to suit your taste.
