Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add the olive oil and a few popcorn kernels as testers.
  2. Once they pop, add the rest of the kernels and cover with a lid.
  3. Shake the pot occasionally to prevent burning and cook until popping slows to 2-second intervals.
  4. Remove from heat and pour popcorn into a large mixing bowl.
  5. While still hot, sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and parmesan cheese over the popcorn.
  6. Toss thoroughly to coat evenly. Add melted butter if desired and toss again.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
