These Glow in the Dark Jolly Rancher Candy Apples are a fun and spooky treat, perfect for Halloween or glow parties! The Jolly Ranchers add vibrant color and flavor, while tonic water gives them a glowing effect under black light!
6 Granny Smith apples
6 wooden sticks
1½ cups granulated sugar
½ cup light corn syrup
½ cup water
15 Jolly Rancher hard candies (assorted colors, crushed)
½ teaspoon neon food coloring (green, blue, or pink)
½ teaspoon tonic water (for the glow effect)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
Insert wooden sticks into the top of each Granny Smith apple.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until the sugar fully dissolves.
Add crushed Jolly Ranchers and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 300°F (hard-crack stage) on a candy thermometer.
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in neon food coloring and tonic water. Mix well.
Carefully dip each apple into the hot candy mixture, tilting and rotating to coat evenly.
Let the excess candy drip off, then place the apples on the prepared baking sheet.
Allow the apples to cool and harden completely before serving.
Turn on a black light, and watch them glow!
