  • For the Sandwich:
    • 1 baguette or hoagie rolls (toasted)
    • 1 lb steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank)
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • 1 avocado, sliced
    • 1 ripe tomato, sliced
    • 23 leaves of lettuce
  • For the Herb Sauce:
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 1/4 cup sour cream
    • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp dried dill
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prep the steak:
    Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Heat a grill or skillet over high heat and cook steak to desired doneness (medium-rare recommended). Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly.
  • Make the herb sauce:
    In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, garlic powder, and dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Assemble the sandwich:
    Spread the herb sauce on the inside of the toasted baguette. Layer lettuce, tomato slices, and avocado slices on the bottom half. Add the sliced steak and drizzle with more herb sauce if desired.
  • Serve and enjoy:
    Close the sandwich, slice, and serve warm.
