  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

 

  • Fresh strawberries (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prep
    Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Layer It Up
    Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the prepared baking dish.
    In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling.

  • Add Cake Mix and Butter
    Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the layers.
    Drizzle the melted butter evenly on top, covering as much of the cake mix as possible.

 

  • Bake and Serve
    Bake in the preheated oven for 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
    Allow the dessert to cool slightly before serving.
    Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.

Notes

  • You can use any fruit pie filling (such as blueberry or cherry) in place of the strawberry if you prefer.
  • This dessert can be served warm or chilled, depending on your preference.
  • It’s best to serve it slightly cooled to allow the layers to set.
