Homemade Guacamole

Homemade Guacamole

Creamy, zesty, and packed with fresh flavor, this homemade guacamole is the ultimate dip or topping for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large ripe avocados
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper, finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Scoop out the avocado flesh into a mixing bowl and mash to your desired consistency.
  2. Add chopped red onion, tomato, jalapeño (if using), cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Gently stir to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Serve immediately with chips or as a topping.

Notes

  • To keep guacamole green longer, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
  • For a chunkier texture, mash avocados lightly with a fork instead of mashing completely.
  • Omit jalapeño if you prefer a milder flavor.
