- 3 large ripe avocados
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 1 small jalapeño pepper, finely chopped (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Scoop out the avocado flesh into a mixing bowl and mash to your desired consistency.
- Add chopped red onion, tomato, jalapeño (if using), cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
- Gently stir to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Serve immediately with chips or as a topping.
Notes
- To keep guacamole green longer, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
- For a chunkier texture, mash avocados lightly with a fork instead of mashing completely.
- Omit jalapeño if you prefer a milder flavor.
