Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 oz) whole tomatoes or 3 cups fresh tomatoes
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • ¼ cup honey, maple syrup, or brown sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp paprika

Instructions

  • Blend the whole tomatoes until smooth.
  • Strain the blended tomatoes into a saucepan and add all the spices and seasonings.
  • Stir well and simmer over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes, until it thickens, stirring occasionally.
  • Let the ketchup cool completely.
  • Pour into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3-4 weeks or freeze for up to 6 months.
