  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add milk and stir until the dough comes together. Do not overmix.
  4. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently pat into a 1-inch thick round. Cut into biscuits using a biscuit cutter or glass.
  5. Place biscuits on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  6. Combine melted butter and honey. Brush the mixture over warm biscuits immediately after baking.
  7. Serve warm, with additional honey if desired.

Notes

  • Use very cold butter for the best flakiness.
