Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Frank’s or Sriracha)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss drumsticks with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and olive oil until well coated.
  3. Arrange drumsticks on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. While baking, prepare the glaze by heating honey, hot sauce, butter, and vinegar in a saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth.
  6. After 25 minutes, brush half of the glaze on the chicken, flip, and return to oven for 15 more minutes.
  7. Broil for 2–3 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  8. Brush with remaining glaze and garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Use a wire rack on the baking sheet for extra crispy skin.
  • Adjust hot sauce to control spice level.
  • Marinate chicken in the glaze for more flavor if prepping ahead.
