Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:
Set oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8×8 or 9×13 baking dish.
  • Cook the Beef Mixture:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until the meat is browned and the onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Add tomato sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  • Assemble the Casserole:
Unroll the crescent dough and press it into the bottom and slightly up the sides of the greased baking dish.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella over the dough.
Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the cheese.
Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan over the top.
  • Bake:
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
Brush the mixture over the edges of the crescent dough.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the crescent crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve & Enjoy:
Let it cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with a side salad or garlic bread!

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the beef mixture for extra flavor.
  • Try using ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
