Ingredients

  • 12 ounces linguine pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine until al dente.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream, chicken broth, cherry tomatoes, and Italian seasoning, then simmer.
  6. Stir in parmesan cheese until smooth.
  7. Return shrimp to the pan and combine.
  8. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
  9. Season with salt and pepper, garnish with basil, and serve.

Notes

  • Use fresh parmesan for best results
  • Do not overcook shrimp
  • Add pasta water if sauce is too thick
