Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk again.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, matcha, and salt. Stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in most of the white chocolate chips, reserving some for the top.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining white chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan. Lift out using parchment, cut into squares, and serve.
Notes
- Use high-quality matcha for best color and flavor.
- Don’t overbake for soft, fudgy texture.
- Chill before slicing for cleaner edges.
