Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk again.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, matcha, and salt. Stir into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Fold in most of the white chocolate chips, reserving some for the top.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining white chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Cool completely in the pan. Lift out using parchment, cut into squares, and serve.
