  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ½ lb cottage cheese (equals 1 cup)
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick)
  • 1 pkg spaghetti (16 oz)

 

  • Grated cheddar cheese (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Boil the spaghetti noodles until al dente (firm). Drain and set aside until ready to assemble.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until well blended.
  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain well. Mix the beef with the spaghetti sauce and set aside.
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with a few slices of butter, then layer half of the cooked spaghetti noodles in the dish.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the noodles, spreading it evenly.
  • Layer the remaining spaghetti noodles on top of the cream cheese mixture and dot with a few more slices of butter.
  • Pour the spaghetti and meat sauce mixture over the noodles.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes, top with grated cheddar cheese and return to the oven for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
