Crispy and flavorful oven-baked Nashville hot chicken tenders, packed with spicy heat and tender chicken inside, perfect for any meal or snack.

  • Total Time: 30-35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Chicken Tenders: 1 pound
  • Flour: 1 cup
  • Panko Breadcrumbs: 1 cup
  • Eggs: 2, beaten
  • Paprika: 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Cayenne Pepper: 1-2 teaspoons, to taste
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Nashville Hot Seasoning (for sauce): 2 tablespoons
  • Butter: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In one shallow bowl, mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third shallow bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Lightly spray the parchment paper with olive oil.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Dredge each chicken tender first in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the panko breadcrumbs.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Place the breaded chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Finishing Touches: While the chicken is baking, melt butter in a small pan over low heat, then stir in the Nashville hot seasoning.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Brush the hot sauce generously over the baked chicken tenders and serve with ranch or coleslaw.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double-coat the tenders by dipping them back in the egg and breadcrumbs before baking.
  • If the hot sauce is too spicy, reduce the cayenne or hot seasoning for a milder taste.
