Panettone Tiramisu

Ingredients

  • Panettone: 1 medium-sized loaf, sliced
  • Mascarpone Cheese: 500g
  • Heavy Cream: 1 cup (240ml)
  • Egg Yolks: 3 large
  • Granulated Sugar: ½ cup (100g)
  • Espresso or Strong Coffee: 1½ cups
  • Cocoa Powder: 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: A pinch

Instructions

  1. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick, then fold in mascarpone, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Dip panettone slices quickly into espresso and layer at the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the first layer of panettone.
  5. Repeat with another layer of dipped panettone and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to set.
  7. Right before serving, sift cocoa powder evenly on top and slice to serve.

Notes

  • Use slightly stale panettone for better soaking without sogginess.
  • Chill overnight for best flavor integration.
  • Sift cocoa powder finely for an elegant top finish.
