- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, softened butter, and granulated sugar until crumbly.
- Press crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, and salt until smooth.
- Pour filling mixture evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top of the filling.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is slightly jiggly but set around the edges.
- Cool completely in the pan, then chill in the fridge for easier slicing.
- Cut into squares and serve.
