These crispy, cheesy, and spicy bites are a perfect combination of sharp cheddar and fresh jalapeño for an irresistible snack or appetizer. Easy to make, with just two ingredients!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large fresh jalapeño pepper
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Prepare the jalapeño: Remove the seeds from the jalapeño and slice it into thin circles.
  4. Arrange cheese: Place 1-tablespoon portions of shredded cheese on the baking sheet, forming 16 small piles. Gently press down on each cheese pile, leaving about 1 inch of space between them.
  5. Add jalapeño: Place a jalapeño slice in the center of each cheese pile.
  6. Bake: Bake until the cheese becomes a deep golden brown, about 12 minutes.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow the crisps to cool on the baking sheet for 1–2 minutes before transferring them to a serving plate using a small spatula.

Enjoy these crispy, cheesy, and spicy bites!

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeño depending on your spice preference—add more for extra heat!
  • These crisps are best served warm, but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days.
