- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 2 cups chopped strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1–2 tablespoons milk or cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, eggs, cocoa powder, food coloring, and salt. Gradually stir in flour and knead until smooth.
- Cover and let dough rise in a warm spot for 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, cook chopped strawberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch in a saucepan until thickened. Let cool.
- Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread cooled strawberry filling over it. Roll into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
- Arrange in the baking dish and let rise another 30 minutes.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until puffed and lightly golden.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk into a glaze. Spread over warm rolls.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

- Chill the filling before rolling to prevent leaks.
- Use floss to cut rolls neatly.
- Add crushed freeze-dried strawberries on top for a pop of color.
