Ingredients
- Roma Tomatoes: 6-8, halved and roasted
- Burrata Cheese: 8 ounces
- Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Garlic Cloves: 2, minced
- Fresh Basil: A handful, chopped
- Sea Salt: To taste
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper: To taste
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine Ingredients: Toss the halved tomatoes in olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Spread the seasoned tomatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Assemble the Dish: Roast the tomatoes in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until they’re soft, caramelized, and slightly wrinkled. Remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
- Cook to Perfection: Transfer the roasted tomatoes to a mixing bowl. Tear the burrata into chunks and add it to the tomatoes, mixing gently to combine. The burrata should melt into the tomatoes, creating a creamy, luscious dip.
- Finishing Touches: Sprinkle fresh basil over the top, and drizzle with a little more olive oil if desired.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately with crostini, fresh vegetables, or crackers. Enjoy the warm, comforting flavors of this dip!
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a drizzle of balsamic glaze on top just before serving.
- If you like a bit of heat, a pinch of red pepper flakes can add a lovely kick.
