This casserole is an easy-to-make, satisfying meal for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs sausage kielbasa or smoked sausage, sliced ¼” thick
  • 2 lbs baby creamer potatoes, washed, sliced in half
  • 2 15 oz cans green beans, drained
  • ⅛ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  • Wash the creamer potatoes, slice them in half, and place them in a sealable gallon-size bag.
  • Add vegetable oil, Slap Ya Mama® seasoning, garlic powder, pepper, and red pepper flakes to the bag. Shake well to coat the potatoes evenly.
  • In a large frying pan, add the sausage and ¼ cup water. Cook over medium-high heat until the sausage is browned and most of the water has evaporated. Remove the sausage from the pan and, once cool enough, add it to the bag with the potatoes.
  • In the same frying pan, melt butter and add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until the onions are translucent. Let cool for a few minutes, then add to the bag with the potatoes and sausage.
  • Add the green beans to the bag, shake to mix, and then transfer the entire mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Carefully remove from the oven and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicier version, you can increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add some hot sauce.
  • This casserole is best served hot, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for a few days.
  • If you want to make the dish more creamy, consider adding a layer of shredded cheese on top before baking.
