These fun, lime-flavored Shamrock Homemade Gummies are perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! With a simple mixture of lime Jello and unflavored gelatin, these gummies are easy to make and full of festive flavor. Mold them into shamrock shapes for a special holiday treat.

  • 1 package (3 oz) lime-flavored Jello
  • 2 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Shamrock-shaped silicone mold

Instructions

  • Prepare the Mixture:
    • In a small saucepan, combine the lime Jello and unflavored gelatin.
    • Add the cold water and whisk well to dissolve the powders. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to bloom the gelatin.
  • Cook the Gummies:
    • Place the saucepan over low heat and stir constantly until the mixture is completely melted and smooth (do not let it boil).
    • If you prefer sweeter gummies, stir in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
  • Fill the Mold:
    • Remove the mixture from heat and carefully pour it into the shamrock-shaped silicone mold. Use a spoon or a small pitcher for precision.
    • Lightly tap the mold on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
  • Chill and Set:
    • Place the mold in the refrigerator and let the gummies set for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  • Unmold and Serve:
    • Gently pop the gummies out of the mold. Arrange them on a serving plate or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • You can add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter gummy or omit it for a more tangy treat.
  • Make sure to tap the mold after filling to ensure there are no air bubbles trapped in the gummies.
  • If you don’t have a shamrock-shaped mold, any silicone mold will work—just make sure it is food-safe!
