Shrimp Grilled Cheese

A golden, buttery toasted bread sandwich filled with gooey melted cheese and tender shrimp, topped with fresh parsley. Perfect for a quick and indulgent meal.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp, 8-10 medium, peeled and deveined
  • Sliced bread, 4 slices, white or sourdough
  • Cheese, 4 slices, mozzarella or cheddar
  • Butter, 2 tablespoons, softened
  • Parsley, 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Layer shrimp and cheese between bread slices, buttered sides out.
  5. Place sandwich in skillet and cook until golden and cheese melts, flipping carefully.
  6. Sprinkle parsley over the top.
  7. Cut in half and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use day-old bread for extra crispiness.
  • Do not overcook the shrimp to maintain tenderness.
  • Serve with a side of tomato soup or salad for a complete meal.
