SPAM RAMEN

A flavorful bowl of Spam Ramen with crispy cubed spam, soft-boiled eggs, and fresh scallions over savory noodles, perfect for a quick and comforting meal

Ingredients

  • Spam, 1 can, cubed
  • Instant Ramen Noodles, 2 packs
  • Eggs, 2, soft-boiled
  • Green Onions, 2 stalks, sliced
  • Soy Sauce, 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame Oil, 1 teaspoon
  • Brown Sugar, 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, 2 cloves, minced
  • Black Sesame Seeds, 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Chili Flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat a pot of water for the eggs and noodles, and a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, and garlic in a small bowl.
  3. Cook cubed Spam in the skillet until golden and crispy, then remove.
  4. Soft-boil the eggs for 6-7 minutes, then peel and halve.
  5. Boil ramen noodles until just done, strain, and add to the skillet with the sauce.
  6. Add crispy Spam back to the noodles, toss to coat and cook for another minute.
  7. Plate the noodles, top with egg halves, sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium ramen seasoning or make your own sauce to control salt.
  • Cook Spam in batches for even crispiness.
  • Soft-boil eggs carefully to achieve a slightly runny yolk.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
