Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into cubes
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Season steak pieces with salt and black pepper.
  3. Add olive oil and butter to the skillet.
  4. Sear steak in batches until browned, then remove.
  5. Cook onions until caramelized, then add garlic.
  6. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Return steak to the pan and coat with sauce.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
