Ingredients

- 1.5 pounds steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into cubes
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat.
- Season steak pieces with salt and black pepper.
- Add olive oil and butter to the skillet.
- Sear steak in batches until browned, then remove.
- Cook onions until caramelized, then add garlic.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return steak to the pan and coat with sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

- Do not overcrowd the pan when searing steak
- Cook onions slowly for best flavor
