Juicy, perfectly seared steak smothered in a rich, spicy Cajun shrimp sauce—an indulgent surf and turf experience!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (divided)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the Steaks – Coat steaks with half of the Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sear the Steaks – Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or to preferred doneness. Remove and let rest.
  • Cook the Shrimp – In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add shrimp, season with remaining Cajun seasoning, and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce – Add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits, then stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  • Combine – Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy Cajun sauce.
  • Serve & Enjoy – Top steaks with shrimp and a generous drizzle of Cajun cream sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot!
