- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, and soy sauce until just combined.
- Form into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Simmer until thickened.
- Toss baked meatballs in the glaze until evenly coated.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use a mix of beef and pork for even more juicy flavor.
- Double the glaze if you love extra sauce.
- Freeze extra meatballs for up to a month.
