- 2 sheets Puff Pastry, thawed
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, chopped
- 1 Egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
- Lightly toss chopped strawberries with a bit of sugar if desired.
- Cut thawed puff pastry sheets into 3 strips each.
- Spread cream cheese mixture down the center of each strip and top with strawberries.
- Fold edges slightly and twist into rope shapes. Place on baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix lemon juice and powdered sugar to make glaze, then drizzle over cooled twists.
Notes
- Use fresh strawberries for best texture, or thaw and drain frozen berries well.
- Chill twists briefly before baking to help them hold shape.
